About us
Our story
We’re here to help people understand what natural burial is and provide a beautiful, natural resting place for everyone.
Tithe Green is family-owned, run by James & Helena. It was James’s late grandmother who founded our original site at Oxton, which is one of the earliest natural burial grounds in the UK
The team behind Tithe Green is small, friendly and professional, currently working hard to open more Tithe Green sites around the country. We’re driven by our love for nature, respect for people, and passion for this beautiful, green way of leaving the earth.
A big part of our day-to-day is welcoming visitors to Tithe Green, whether they’re coming to say hello to someone special who’s buried here, or just checking it out for the first time. We’re open all day, everyday.
Our team
We’re a small, friendly, professional team currently looking after three Tithe Green sites. We care deeply about the places we run, the nature they’re made of, and the people we bring into them.
Our sites
Our natural burial sites are humming with life: trees sway in the breeze, bees carry pollen from wildflower to wildflower. We take great care of these beautiful, biodiverse spaces, open to visitors all day, every day.
We currently have three sites, all in the East Midlands, and we’ll be opening more around the UK in time. Our locations are of course convenient for those living nearby, but people visit Tithe Green from all over the country — we don’t have a catchment policy, you can be based anywhere.
“Peaceful and still resting place. A straight forward process with stress taken from an emotional time. Dad laid to rest with ease. Just right.”

Help us find our next site
We’re in the process of creating new Tithe Green sites. If you happen to own or know about a beautiful, natural space that’s larger than 500 acres, we’d love to hear from you.
