Biodegradable urns

About our biodegradable urns

Our wool, willow and calabash urns are something we can provide for natural interment of ashes, in case you’re not able to provide ashes in a biodegradable container.

With natural burial we use only natural, biodegradable materials, avoiding plastics, metals and chemicals: it’s an essential part of the approach. If you are able to provide ashes in a biodegradable urn with details of material construction, we may be able to work with what you have.

The urns we provide are beautifully and sustainably made in the UK and 100% biodegradable.

Calabash urns

Our calabash urns are made from the fruit of a calabash tree (Crescentia cujete), which when dried and hollowed out creates a gourd-shape that has been used by humans in various ways for thousands of years.
