We are actively recruiting a site manager to take responsibility for our Blue House natural burial site.

Our settings

With all of our approaches, you can choose from either a woodland or wildflower meadow setting. Wildflower meadow burials take place all year round. Woodland burials are also year-round, except for tree planting and burial of ashes, which take place between November and February.

Woodland

Woodland burials involve tree planting, boosting the habitat for birds and natural wildlife. Our woodlands are peaceful places to visit, and it’s lovely seeing the trees inch taller over time. Adjacent plots aren’t possible here.

Wildflower Meadow

Wildflower meadows are home to vital insects and other pollinators like butterflies and our increasingly endangered bees. We place plaques instead of trees in these colourful, changing spaces. Adjacent plots are possible here.

Meet Your Blue House Site Manager

We are actively recruiting a site manager to join our Tithe Green team. The site manager will be responsible for upholding the Tithe Green ethos at our Blue House natural burial site; ensuring the land is free to flourish naturally, carrying out general maintenance, and meeting families.

What to expect when visiting Tithe Green Blue House

When you arrive, the car park leads straight onto our main pathway between the trees. You'll see woodland to either side and ahead of you. You're welcome to walk through the woodland, but we recommend sticking to the main pathways. If you follow the main pathway, you'll reach a crossroads surrounded by oaks and pines.

You’re welcome to spend as much time as you want or need, whether you’re at the site to visit a particular person’s grave or memorial, or you just want to take a walk in the beautiful surroundings. Dogs on leads are also always welcome!

We maintain flat grass pathways, however, if you’re visiting us during winter or soon after heavy rain, you might need to bring some boots or a spare pair of shoes, because it can get muddy.

We will be making essential updates to the site such as extending the car park and creating a more accessible pathway for hearses. Eventually we will add a service building for families to use before or after a service, as well as providing a place for community events and gatherings. We always aim to keep disruption to a minimum but do bear with us!
