You can commemorate your loved one without the need for a burial by purchasing a memorial tree or plaque to be placed on one of our sites, so that you’ll always have a place to visit and remember them for years to come. We currently have two beautiful sites available – one at Oxton, Nottinghamshire, and one in Ketton, Rutland – both of which are easily accessible from Nottingham, Leicester and Peterborough.
Memorial tree planting doesn’t just make for an attractive commemoration for a lost loved one, however; because each tree absorbs about 40kg of CO2 a year, they’re also helping us in our fight with climate change. It’s a great way to celebrate a life while also having a positive impact on your local environment.
We offer a number of different types of remembrance tree, each accompanied by a plaque made out of Welsh slate. Trees and plaques can be purchased at any time but planting takes place between November and February each year, as this gives the tree the best start in life.
Our memory plaques are carved out of 100% natural Welsh slate and can be located in either our woodland or wildflower meadow sites. They’re available on their own or jointly with a memorial tree. Every purchase of a burial plot or ashes interment also comes with a memorial plaque.
At Tithe Green, we’re a family-run company that has been offering eco-friendly burials and memorials for over 30 years, making us one of the first businesses in the UK to offer this kind of service. We want to offer peace, solace and a place to heal for families, and aim to provide a positive, uplifting environment to help them remember their loved ones and hold that day special.
