Tithe Green opened in 1999, situated in Sherwood Forest

(near Nottingham City). The backdrop of Darcliff Wood offers a unique perspective to the burial ground and reinforces the feeling of true nature whilst providing habitat for wildlife. Natural Burial is still a relatively new concept in the UK with the first grounds set up at Carlisle in 1993.

Tithe Green

Is a natural burial ground which comprises of woodland

and wildflower meadow burial plots and memorial trees for the interment of ashes.

Situated within the boundaries of the historic Sherwood Forest, Tithe Green is a beautiful, tranquil area which comprises 36 acres of woodland and wild flower meadow. It is part of Oxton Estate which has been privately owned by the Sherbrooke family for nearly 500 years.

Tithe Green is approximately 9 miles north of Nottingham City and close to the villages of Oxton and Calverton.
