Monthly Community Groups
Every month, we host our community Memory Mile Walks and Guided Grief Groups. They're free to join, and you're welcome to drop in whenever you like. Come just for the walk, meet us just for the group, or stay for both - it's entirely up to you.

Memory Mile Walks at Tithe Green
On the first Wednesday of every month, at each of our sites in Oxton, Ketton, and Markfield, we host our Memory Mile Walks. Here's how they work:
We meet in the car park of the site at 10am. A member of the Tithe Green team will always be there to meet you - come rain or shine! Come alone or bring family and friends - dogs on leads are always more than welcome.
Together, we take a gentle stroll around the grounds, which usually lasts around 30 minutes. The walks can be adapted depending on who is there on the day. We maintain flat grass pathways around all sites but these may be difficult for people with mobility issues. The sites can also get muddy after wet weather so appropriate footwear is advised.
It's a chance to spend time in nature, explore the burial ground, meet others in the community, and remember a loved one. There is nothing more important to us than nature and community, and our Memory Mile walks give us the chance to celebrate both.
Guided Grief Groups at Tithe Green.
As an extension of our Memory Mile Walks, we've launched Guided Grief Groups at each of our natural burial sites in partnership with local therapists.
The aim is simple: to get together, have a cup of tea or coffee, and learn more about what happens to our minds and bodies when we experience bereavement.
For many people, grief can feel incredibly isolating. Even many years later, when we may have adapted to our new lives, we may still have a sense of unease or sadness. At Tithe Green, we aim to provide a space for people to talk about how they might be feeling and share their stories and experiences - if they want to. Sometimes, there is nothing more reassuring than hearing the words "yes, I felt that way too" or "it's completely normal to react that way".
These groups are designed so that they don't feel too heavy or intimidating. Facilitated by certified bereavement specialists, groups have a loose structure, inviting guests to learn more about grief, take part in gentle activities for continuing bonds, and find resources that might resonate.
There is space for sharing if people want to, but otherwise it's an opportunity to gather together, have a warm drink, and spend time in the company of others who understand.
Sessions are drop-in and completely free to join. You can join us for the walk first to ease gently in, or meet us for the group (generally starts around 10:30 after the walk).
There is no pressure and no expectation - you are welcome exactly as you are.
